Welcome! I appreciate the courage it takes to seek counseling in pursuit of personal healing and growth. Although these first few steps can feel awkward and a bit scary, you will soon experience that ‘you are not alone.’ Many of us feel unprepared to face life’s challenges which leave us feeling overwhelmed and stuck… unsure of knowing which way to turn. I consider it a privilege to walk through life’s storms with my clients as we find a path to healing and transformation together.

Research shows that we are neurobiologically wired for connection yet many of us have been wounded in ways that make it difficult to connect with others on a ‘real’ level. These wounds from our past are often still negatively impacting our present relationships and lives. Connections help all of us to be more resilient when dealing with anxiety, depression and loss. I have been trained in cutting edge models that focus on developing and building deeper connections with yourself and others.

I work with adults to address a wide variety of struggles including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, transition, and church wounds. I also work with couples and families to overcome relational disconnection, to rebuild and strengthen their attachment bonds, and to be more open and responsive with one another. By utilizing the highly effective methods of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) I help couples to identify and break free from the negative thoughts and interaction patterns, and strengthen their relationships.
I also facilitate process groups in churches and organizations to help expedite personal healing and growth.

I completed my Bachelor’s degree at Loyola University where I majored in Business Management. I received my Masters in Counseling at Concordia University of Irvine through the Townsend Institute developed by Dr. John Townsend. I am currently working towards my clinical licensure. As a ‘seasoned’ adult, I have weathered my own storms which enables me to provide my clients with a sense of peace and hope in the midst of their struggles.
Outside of the office, I enjoy cooking, photography, and the ‘Bayou Life’ by spending time in nature with family and friends.

Small talk can change everything.
